Scottish Adventure Solutions (SAS) are looking for experienced kayakers to add to our list of Safety Kayakers and Safety Support staff for the upcoming Open Water Swimming season.
Experience: BCU 2 Star as a minimum, but FSRT, BCU Coach or BCU Lifeguard qualifications are preferred. Your own boat is required, but we may be able to assist in organising boat hire if needed.
Date: Saturday 1st June 2013
Time: 5am to 8.30am
Location: South Queensferry
Payment: £50
Duties: Safety Kayakers are stationed along the course to assist swimmers who are struggling. Safetyboats then collect the swimmers and return them to the shore. FSRT holders may also act as crew on Safetyboats.
There are more events over the summer with payment of up to £80-£100/day. FSRT holders will also be able to work shore based positions.
FSRT and BCU Lifeguard training and qualifications are available.
